If you have an ornate/decorative fibrous-plaster ceiling in need of some restoration, don’t despair!

There are still old-fashioned tradesmen around with the unique skills and experience required for such work. Sydney Ceiling Restorations is primarily interested in restoring such ceilings, commonly found in older and period homes.

Ceilings damaged by wear-and-tear, ageing, poor paint preparation, water-damage, and foot-through-the-ceiling accidents are routine. Harry Klarnett is a traditional tradesman with many years of experience in fibrous-plaster including pattern-making, modeling and casting.

A typical repair/restoration will often include the casting of undamaged areas to rectify damaged panels or plates in other parts of the ceiling. This is an environmentally friendly solution.

Harry and his team of trained professionals also do general plasterboard and cornice work, but their main interest and passion is in restoring old decorative plaster. Harry makes original moulds to any design and then produces the plaster product in any quantity, from one upwards. Seemingly “impossible” or “unattainable” restorations can be readily achieved with good results, often within a surprisingly affordable budget.

This is the benefit of years of restoration-work and learning to look at problems from different angles.
